Documentary Style Photography Coverage

One of my favorite photography assignments is to document corporate events in a very candid, photojournalistic style. I receive calls a few times a month inquiring as to my availability to provide photography coverage for big events. Some events are limited to one day, a block of hours, or an evening. But quite often, they’re several days long and not always limited to Tampa. I’ve provided this style of coverage in well over a dozen cities across the US, most lasting three to five days. The beauty is, once a company or an event planner has worked with me, they’re most likely to call again. Some, several times a year! Creating their level of confidence in my ability to provide what they’re needing – enough to have them call back for their next event – has always been my goal.

This week, I had the pleasure of working with a new company, ReliaQuest, and a new corporate event planner, Kimberly Wander of Elevated Events. ReliaQuest is an Internet security company, but even after three days with them I am totally clueless as to what they do, because most of the language they spoke sounded like something from the movie Avatar (I’m good with computers, but these folks operate on a totally different plane).

Kimberly Wander of Elevated Events was the go-to coordinator who did an incredible job keeping the 165+ computer wiz’s on schedule. This was three full days of intense networking, brainstorming, motivating, and problem solving, complete with meetings, meals, and a trip over to Harbour Island for dinner at Jackson’s.

The gallery I’m attaching to this post is a broad representation of what my “documentary style” task was. The images here will/may be used by ReliaQuest for anything from social media posts about the event, to dressing their website, attaching to press releases, or beefing up printed material to be used in their marketing and sales efforts.

Enjoy!
