I’m one very lucky uncle. I have seven beautiful nieces and five handsome nephews, and every single one of them have flown to Tampa to be photographed by “Uncle Kevin” for their senior pictures.
This past weekend, the last of those dozen, Josh Newsome, flew in from Atlanta. You see, for them, getting their senior pictures taken with me, was never just an hour in the studio… it’s always been a three day event! Movies, ballgames, museums, restaurants, marinas… you never know where you’re going when you visit Uncle Kevin… Josh and I make a visit to the Big Cat Rescue (very cool place, btw).
He’s an experienced kayaker, and when I was in Atlanta a few weeks ago, I grabbed a few images of him in action, knowing that it was something I couldn’t capture when he got here. The rest were taken in the studio, a golf course, a park, and around town. And of course, no high school senior picture session would be complete without the Newsome’s Studio of Photography’s famous Bumper Shot!
Here are just a few of my favorites…
