Executive Portraits on Location
I would say that about half of the executive portraits we create at Newsome’s, are done outside the studio. A large portion are typically done in the client’s office, some are done outside, either downtown in an urban environment, and a few are in a park or neutral outdoors location.
If you’re looking to have executive portraits done for you and/or your office staff, you might consider letting me scout your office for a potential natural background to use at your location. If one isn’t suitable, I can bring a studio style background with me to create the staff’s individual headshots. Group photographs can either be taken using the office environment, or photographed individually and composited into one group shot.
I much prefer using the office environment coupled with quality lighting, so your finished images are beautifully lit, but still retain the warmth and depth of the natural environment. This is achieved using lenses with a long focal length and a shallow depth of field, but require a long enough depth to work within so the affect is believable.
